Hari ini saya berkubang  di dapur dengan anak² - lelaki & perempuan.  Angah susun paper cup, Along masukkan adunan dan Intan tabur/hias.

Saya ?  Pengurus Projek.:lol:

Walaupun saya setiap hari  bersama dengan anak² ( kecuali Along yang tinggal di asrama ) tetapi kami tak pernah jemu bertogether - gether.

Jam 2.30 petang kami siap projek pertama dengan 3 balang biskut.

Sebab mereka tolong saya sepanjang hari , setiap orang dibenarkan request satu menu berbuka.  Along - spagetti , Intan - nasi goreng paprik dan Angah - apa² saja.    Dalam masa 1 setengah jam ,  siap sedia dengan air cincau tepat² waktu nak berbuka.

Lepas maghrib - bersantai kat ruang keluarga.  Urut mengurut sesama sendiri sambil bercerita hal dulu². Masing² bercerita hal gigi pertama yang patah..he he he…cerita lucu.  Along masih ingat kisah gigi pertama dia tercabut.  Sungguh kelakar kerana sewaktu itu kami dalam perjalanan balik ke Bentong - dia gigit sebiji epal hijau.

Tiba² satu kereta menjerit.  Gigi dia melekat pada epal.

Saya terbayang suasana beginikah yang sedang berlangsung di setiap rumah di luar sana.    Ibubapa bersama anak² yang pulang dari rantau.  Adakah hati semua ibu² seperti saya - rasa bahagia mengebu² melimpah seperti cokelat di ladang gandum .

My Mother taught me to THINK AHEAD…
“If you don’t pass your spelling test, you’ll never get a good job.”

My Mother taught me HUMOR…
“When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don’t come running to me.”

My Mother taught me how to BECOME AN ADULT…
“If you don’t eat your vegetables, you’ll never grow up.”

My Mother taught me about GENETICS…
“You’re just like your father.”

My Mother taught me about my ROOTS…
“Do you think you were born in a barn?”

My Mother taught me about WISDOM OF AGE…
“When you get to be my age, you will understand.”

And my all time favorite… JUSTICE…
